PRECISION DISCOVERY CONTINUES EXPANSION OF COMPUTER FORENSICS PRACTICE

Addition Of High-Tech Investigation Experts Offers Clients Expanded Capabilities

October 21, 2008 (New York, NY) - Precision Discovery, a provider of IT risk and litigation consulting solutions, today announced that Mark T. Kelly, Timothy M. McLain and Peter J. Smith have joined the firm's computer forensics group.

Kelly, a director, brings almost three decades of computer forensic and law enforcement experience to Precision Discovery. Prior to joining Precision Discovery, Kelly was an instructor for Guidance Software. Before entering the private sector, he was a detective and computer forensic examiner for the Computer and Technology Crime High-Tech Response Team, a multi-jurisdiction, multi-agency task force administered by the San Diego District Attorney. Kelly also had a distinguished career with the San Diego Sheriff's Department, where he held various law enforcement positions.

A manager at Precision Discovery, McLain most recently was a senior consultant in the technology consulting group at FTI Consulting. He also conducted high-tech investigations as a forensics analyst at INSYNC Consulting Group. McLain began his career in computer forensics as an investigative assistant for the Ventura County District Attorney, where he was responsible for performing computer forensic investigations involving a broad range of matters.

Smith, who joins Precision Discovery as a manager, previously was a senior associate in the IT risk consulting services group at Aon Consulting as well as a member of the high-tech investigations and IT risk consulting practice of the financial advisory services group at Kroll. Smith also brings expertise in information protection, business acquisition and wireless security issues, which he gained as a specialist at Fred Cohen & Associates. Before his career in consulting, Smith was a probation assistant with the Sacramento County Probation Department and later as a special agent with the California Department of Justice Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, where he performed investigations to assist with theft and narcotic-related investigations.

"We are proud that Mark, Tim and Peter have chosen to join Precision Discovery to help us in our commitment to providing clients with superior computer forensics and electronic discovery services," said Jerry F. Barbanel, President and CEO of Precision Discovery. "The addition of these talented professionals continues the robust growth we are experiencing and, more importantly, adds further depth to our already strong high-tech investigations team."
